Description

These replacement filters are tailored for our 3-stage 10-inch x 2.5-inch Water Softener - Cation Whole House systems. The first stage, a 10" Standard 5 Micron Sediment Filter (Part Number 104002), eliminates larger particles and suspended matter. The second stage features a 10" Standard Cation Resin Filter Cartridge (Part Number 104268), which softens water by exchanging hydrogen ions for calcium and magnesium ions. The resin cartridge reduces Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and hardness, with a capacity of 750 grains and a 5-micron nominal rating. Lastly, the 10" Standard Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Filter (Part Number 104004) efficiently removes chlorine, turbidity, bad taste & odor, sediment, dirt, and THMs from water, with added 1-micron filter membrane for enhanced purity. Operating at temperatures from 40°F to 125°F, it ensures a lower pressure drop for optimal performance. This part is similar to part number 104325 from Max Water.

Returns

Items must be returned within 30 days after receiving your order. Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received, be unworn/unused, have any tags still attached, and include all the original packaging.

Please be aware that the seller will not cover the cost of the return label. It is the customer's responsibility to generate the return shipping label and send the system back to our warehouse.

These replacement filters are designed specifically for our 3-stage 10-inch x 2.5-inch Water Softener - Cation Whole House systems .

First Filter: 10" Standard 5 Micron Sediment Filter (Part Number 104002)

Size: 2.5" x 9 7/8", fits most standard 10" size housings and most reverse osmosis systems.
Used to remove larger particles & suspended matter such as dirt, silt, rust, sand, algae, sediment, scale particles, and cloudiness from water.
No leachable or extractable materials to contaminate outflowing water.
Long life and increased dirt holding capacity.
No surface binders to reduce flow and increase change-out frequency.

Second Filter: 10" Standard Cation Resin Filter Cartridge (Part Number 104268)

For water hardness reduction, our Cation Resin Filter softens your water by releasing Hydrogen (H⁺) ions or other positively charged ions in exchange for impurities present in the water. The process involves passing water containing hardness mineral ions, namely calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺), through a column containing a strongly acidic cation exchange resin in the sodium (Na⁺) form (i.e., the exchangeable cations are sodium). The calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged for an equivalent number of sodium ions. The resin, once exhausted (i.e., all the available sodium ions have been exchanged), must be recharged. This entails passing a solution containing a high concentration of sodium salts, such as brine (sodium chloride), through the ion exchange resin in a process known as regeneration.

I install this in my new coffee shop and oh boy what are difference! It is so much smoother now than it was prior to installing. My coffee is as smooth as silk now. You could really taste the chlorine and feel/ taste the hard water previously.. the water filtration is plumbed into my ice machine and three head espresso machine and after a little over a year it’s time to change the cartridges/filters
I am in the process of setting up a 85 gallon freshwater aquarium so I’ll be purchasing the RO system as well..
